What's new at Group Health Credit Union

Get Your Life Back in Balance
No matter how carefully we budget and plan, life can still present us with unexpected challenges: illness, job loss, decline in the value of our investments. If you’re concerned that financial difficulties are ahead, or if you’re facing money issues now, GHCU offers BALANCE, a free service to our members. BALANCE can help you get your life and your future back on track.

BALANCE is a free, confidential financial education and counseling service for GHCU members, provided through partnership with Group Health Credit Union. Some of BALANCE’s many resources include confidential counseling on dealing with debt, creating a budget, buying a house, understanding a credit report and more. Additionally, BALANCE has informative articles, downloadable worksheets to help you track expenses or determine a workable mortgage amount, calculators to figure out how much interest you’ll pay on credit cards or a loan, and checklists that ensure you’ve covered all the steps of finding a credit card or the right home.

Special help for teens
A great way to avoid future financial difficulty is through education. BALANCE has created some content just for teens—in podcast form, just the way teens like to listen. BalanceTrack® provides valuable information on money management, including the right way to buy a car, how to apply for a credit card and use it without bankrupting your parents, how to invest for the future and more. It’s a great tool to ensure that young adults are equipped to make smart fiscal decisions.
